  2. Make sure that the device receives enough power to opperate (Power requirements is listed inside of the manual).
  3. Make sure your phone, laptop or any other device with WiFi you use for the setup can communicate with a 2.4GHz network.

You will receive a shipping confirmation email with the tracking code when your order has been shipped.

The heatpump modbus controller is connected to the heatpump's display.

While the indoor unit also has Modbus pins (H1, H2), those are not compatible with the modbus controller.

While many Midea (and clones} heatpumps use the same modbus registers, there are some that might differ.

If you have a heatpump modbus controller and it doesn't receive any data, please check the following:

  1. Check if the modbus cable is correctly wired to the heatpump.
  2. Check if the correct modbus address is selected:
Default address in the ESPHome firmware is 0x1.
      └ modbus_controller:
      └     address: 0x1
  3. Check if the correct baudrate is selected:
Default baudrate in the ESPHome firmware is 9600.
      └ uart:
      └     baud_rate: 9600
  4. Switch the 120ohm switch on the modbus controller to the other position (OFF->ON or ON->OFF}.
  5. Look up the modbus registers for your heatpump controller and check if it is the same.

When a device is connected in HomeAssistant, you can factory reset the device toggeling the factory reset switch.

If this switch is not available, you should update the device to its latest (firmware).
